A delicate selection of medallion artworks is part of the exhibition ‘In Bloom’. Together with other featured Dutch designers, Organisation In Design-owner and curator Margriet Vollenberg will show a glimpse of the flourishing landscape of the design culture of The Netherlands at the 5-8 July on show at Market Art + Design, at The Bridgehampton Museum.

XL Medallion ‘In the land of the baked eggs’ is about a world where everything is beautiful and round. Everything seems fine in order; but there is a fire extinguisher hidden somewhere and also a lifebuoy; to use in case of emergency.
Baby Blue is the color of the sky, the unreal. A color of rest and peace, and the belief in yourself and others. Male, naive and dreamy. Round shapes symbolic of the female. Eggs stand for fertility, and be open to changes.

L Medallion ‘USA vs China‘ is about the cooperation between America and China. The Chinese lady wears the American hat of independence and a shield that protects the cash flow. She is standing on a mushroom; a lucky symbol which stand for a long life. With a bell around her neck and a big eye, everyone is controlled in a lovely landscape. The butterfly as symbol of transformation. The landscape shows the grown of flags, stars and stripes, fireworks and independence.

L Medallion ‘Coat of Arms‘: The coat of arms as sign of family and solidarity. The chained togetherness reflects the multitude of beautiful flowering periods, fights, monetary rewards and prosperity. The duck is a symbol for trust, balance and warmth. The dolphins stand for life force and the combination of intelligence & enthusiasm, intuition & emotion, the male & female; water & fire.
